Last Day in Copper :(...

Well today was my last full day in Copper. I fly out tomorrow and it's all so bittersweet. I love my teammates and The pastor & his family, and just ALL the people here in Copper. They are such amazing, sweet, loving, and great Christian people... I am really going to miss them. But at the same time I am excited to be home and see my family and friends, but most of all i'm just so excited about sharing about everything that has happened here this summer... I could talk for days on end and still not cover the amazingness that happened here this summer...

God has truely been VERY alive and moving deeply in this town this summer... many amazing things have happened. I am so grateful and humbled that God used me throughout this summer... So amazing how he takes individual lives and places them together... so so amazing... and overwhelming if you really sit to think about it...

Today we went prayer walk and now we are just taking the day to get some last minute things done... spend some time together before i have to leave tomorrow... but other than that a regular day here :) lol... i will post later!

my last week here in Copper :(...

I can't believe that on Tuesday I will be on an airplane flying back home... This summer has gone by so quickly! But it has been a blast and I have seen God moving in BIG ways! ... I am so grateful for this opportunity, for the people here, and for my team mates I had! amazing, all of it!

Well today has been interesting... Me & Casey went to Papa Lolley's House to help him paint his house and somehow i ended up having paint ALLLL over my shirt, on my legs, arms, fingers, shorts.... even in my hair... I was just like wow Dedie, really?... but it was a lot of fun... we and casey like to burst out random things and laugh about it apparently because that's what we did the whole time we were painting! lol...

Tonight we have upper room. James 4... i won't be here next week to finish the last chapter but i will do it on my own and just email them my thoughts! lol...

Tomorrow we have Bella our girls group and whatever else we have on our to-d0 list. Oh yes there's a list...lol

Tomorrow is Pastor Seans birthday... Now i remember last year he became very protective over his Ice cream cake he had... lol so i'm interested to see it go down this year hahaha

but other than that everything is good. and everything is going like it's always been going... so yeah... I will see everyone in a week.

I REMEMBER!!...

I finished reading Redeeming Love and OHHHH. MY. GOODNESS!!!!!

That is the best book i have ever read and i'm being so serious! I finished it in less than a week and we all know how my reading skills are hahaha and just yeah it was awesome...and i'm just wondering where o where is this Michael Hosea .... HOLLA at ya gurlL! ahahha amazing book.... everyone must read it!

Thats what i had for lunch today :) along with a pb&j sandwich :) woot woot!

Well San francisco was amazing! It was so awesome the way the youth stepped out of their comfort zones and were bold in their faith! We gave out waters, bibles, and helped out with the church BBQ... It was just such a blessing to meet all the different lives that God has created and just minister and encourage them. The youth really enjoyed their time there...

I can't believe that it is almost time for me to come home... I just got here and now it's almost time to leave. So sad :( ...

Last night me, casey, and chase went to Sonora and ate at Mike's Pizza and went to the movies to see Despicable Me ... it was so cute. I hadn't heard much about it but it was pretty funny. Like me and casey have a few good quotes from that movie hahaha... Then afterwards Casey and Chase thought it would be cool to visit a cementary at like 9:30 at night... so we went there while i chilled in the car, except for like the 5 mins i stepped out of the car...other than that. I was in the care the whole time... some peoples kids... lol

Andrew hasn't been online in like 5 or 6 days. and that makes me nervous so i've been keeping busy lol ... but other than that everything is going pretty good. Today me and casey are updating the church directory and all that good stuff lol... (I think casey is ready to kill it)

Later on we have Upper room and then Bella tomorrow... I feel like i'm leaving something important out but i can't think of it...so if i do i will let you know haha

busy, busy bees once again :)

Well we are back on track with our regular routine of things, so we stay pretty busy... but we still have time to kick back and have some laughs :) (we are almost always laughing anyways) ...

This morning I lead the devotional for all of us missionaries and pastor sean & mrs. nicole ... I read out of Galatians 6:1-10. It is just something that has been on my heart these past few days with some people in my life who are stuggling and I wasn't sure I could help...I always want to help, but most of the time I feel that I am not good enough to help or that I couldn't make a difference... But those verses just reveal to me that we should take every opportunity given to us to help those who need it and that we reap what we sow... If we stick with it and don't give up, then we will see the harvest! we just need to love one another unconditionaly, and that's much easier said than done lol...

But anyways, this morning we also went prayer walking and then casey, kristin, & Mrs. Nicole went to the store for the mission trip to San Francisco tomorrow, and in the mean time me amanda & kamber made a cake...well shall i say Amanda cooked it & put the icing on & then Kamber decorated the cake, while the girls put sprinkles on it... i merely sat there watching with amusement as the cake began to crack (in several places) and the cake is now being held together by tooth picks... lol...we are writting up a disclaimer as I type for those who plan to partake in eating this unique cake :) hahaha ... it was great fun!! :)

but anyways I started reading Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers and it has sucked me in!! ... I can barely put the book down. I bring it with me everywhere I go... last night i had to force myself to go to bed & stop reading... so far it is just an awesome book! It made me think how blessed I am for having the parents I have, the siblings I have, the family I have, the home I have, and the life I have... I have it so good, so how dare I ever say I don't have enough or what I "need" ... very blessed and grateful!

but anyways tonight we have upper room and we are reading James 2:14-3:12 ... so i'm gonna go read that and look some stuff up on that...then for dinner we are having taco night for Casey's 21st Birthday :) :) :)

tomorrow is friday :)

hahaha ... so tomorrow is Friday! which means me & casey survived a whole week by ourselves... we didn't starve or mess anything up (as of right now at least lol)

but anyways. Today was a good day. Got to talk to some family so that's always good. Oh and yeah, tomorrow is my mom & dad's 22nd wedding anniversary!!!! SO happy anniversary mom & dad, i love yall very much, & I hope & pray that i find true love and happiness like yall did!

Well anyways, we just got back from running so were are gonna shower, print out bullitins and fold them, then eat and watch a movie & relax!!!

the lizard creature has escaped...

well it's pretty crazy because somehow the lizard was not captured properly and is now on the loose...this is creepy news!

Right now i am sitting eating dinner before me & casey head to upper room bible study...

Today we went running this morning and those hills kicked my boo-taayy! big time! I was like dead afterwards...i just laid on their drive way forever! lol

Well tomorrow we got more things to get done and then our bella girls group to do.

then friday we pick up the other 4 missionaries from Pioneer and then saturday morning we get to go Horseback riding...:) it's gonna be fun...

Giant Lizard in the Dungeon...

Okay so Me & Casey have the honor of taking on the task of Pastor Sean's office down stairs in the "dungeon"...need i say more?? ( i will have pics from before and after a soon as i can)

but anyways...as we are cleaning, Casey spots this lizard/snake looking creature & When i looked at it (from a safe distance of course) I ran OUT of the office screaming... yes, RANNN!!

that thing is NOT supposed to be in there...So then for about ohhhh 20 or 30 mins we sat trying to determine just what we should do here...

Well we came up with a BEAUTIFUL plan... just absolutely CUNNING!...

i put on my yellow latex gloves, & grabbed my super duper long stick/cane and slowly moved my way into the area of the lizard creature...casey was moving in behind me with a white trash can bucket...(oh yeah she's got my back)

Then as i began to guide the lizard toward the bucket she scurried off and casey put the white trash can on top of that creature and captured him!! so now he is still down stairs with a trash can on top of him with heavy items on top of that trash can just in case he gets any funny ideas!

and now we don't know exactlly what to do with this thing...that's as far as our plan has taken us...

successful? I think so...

VBS still a-goin!

VBS is still chuggin along! It's going along good. Very smoothly!

Today I got so tired like half way through and I was sitting there reading through James, and I was doing what I could to stay awake... but I didn't fall asleep and I stayed awake :) lol

Last night me casey and all the other missionaries painted :) and it was wayyy fun! I didn't finish mine and I really want to. It's going to take me a long time to finish it though! But I think it'll look cool in the end :)...

We are about to eat some Mac-n-cheese with some chicken :) and a glass of milk...yummmm
Then after dinner we are going to our young adult bible study, Upper room...woop woop

well anyways I was happy today because just a little while ago I got to talk to Andrew online :)
I was so happy and it put me in that much better of a mood...if that made sense when you read that...
anyways...I love all yall and miss yall tons!

VBS week :)

Well today was our second day of VBS and everything is going pretty smoothly...the kids seem to really be enjoying all the games and bible stories. Esp the songs we sing...lol.

I got to talk to Andrew yesterday :) So I was super happy about that! made my whole entire day and today :) hahaha

Yesterday we went swimming with Mrs. Debbie & Hannah, and then we went to the yogurt factory. It was SOOO good. It was frozen yogurt, and they had every topping you could possibly think of!...I got red velvet cake yogurt with white chocolate, crushed oreos and some other chocolate goodness as my toppings...yummmmm. lol...

Today we are going to Senora to go to Wal-mart, then we are gonna wash some vehicles, then we are gonna go have dinner at Papa Lolley's house and swim and PAINT!!! :) woo hoo...it's gonna be so much fun!

The other day me and casey were talkin to Mrs. Werna and we were like man...June is practically over...I mean this sunday is July 4th!! How crazy is that?? I feel like I just got here. Time is just flying by it's hard to keep up with it!...But i enjoy all the work we are doing! :)

VBS prep

Woo Hoo! we start VBS bright and early tomorrow morning! So tonight instead of having the Edge youth group like usual are gonna set up VBS decorations...so it should be fun and hopefully this time I won't be covered in paint...lol

Church this morning was good. Pastor said that 4 people came to Christ...

right now I am hanging out until we leave to go do the prepping stuff... and I am eating goldfish...

yummm....

All the other missionaries got back today from kids camp and they are beat! they are so tired! and yet they don't get much of a break with VBS coming...

last night I had the weirdest dream... I was at a football game, & I saw Andrew sitting in the stand across the feild on the other side...so naturally I wanted to go see him....so when I went to go around This HUGE glacier appears...and I have to climb to the top of this glacier to get to him...well I'm terrified of heights so I was really scared too...and I get to the tippy top and it's like extra icey up there or something...and so I had to make a decision wether or not to climb it and take a risk or if i should just turn around and go back to my seat...and so yeah...I woke up before I made that decision....it was a very strange dream....i mean a glacier at a football game? that's just craziness....

well anyways...i love yall n miss yall

Watching Emperor's New Groove...

Don't know if I spelt that right lol...

well today was pretty laid back compared to this last week.

On saturday i left for 1st and 2nd grade camp that lasted till sunday. Then from sunday till wednesday I was with Casey, Kamber, Amanda, Kristin, & Chase for youth camp...which was awesome!

We had 6 youth come to Christ! it was just so awesome to be there to witness that!

The messages that were preached were amazing very deep and just straight up with the truth. Nothing was surgar coated and the youth were really woken up...All us missionaries were too. Just really awesome!

Tomorrow is our day off so I am def. looking forward to sleeping in...i have been up between 7 - 7:15 am every morning since sunday...i know i know...poor me lol...but i am super pumped about sleeping in!

Oh and we had our girls group today and it went REALLY well...like the best Bella group we've had from this summer &&&& last summer...the girls were still fired up from camp and we got a lot accomplished today... and the girls were really receptive and responsive...so camp was sort of like an ice breaker for our relationships!

Oh and for our adults group bible study, Upper room, we decided to go through the book of James so I am pumped about that! & then the pastor from church camp is doing a study on Nehamiah (spelt that wrong i know lol) and he'll be doing it on a blog so i'm pretty pumped about that. I REALLY enjoyed his messages at camp so i'm excited about starting the study...

but anyways...that's all i can really think of right now...

Yosemite Bound :)

WOO we get to go back to Yosemite Tomorrow, and I have heard that the water is REALLY flowing over there so we should see some good stuff :) and yes I will be taking a bunch of pics :) and will post them as soon as I can :)

Today was a good day.We got and prayer walked at 8 -9 and then we had out staff devotionals, and then me casey and pastor sean worked on things for kids camp this weekend up at Jenness. and then we all worked on our Bella group message then after bella we just came back to the pastors house to chill-lax and get things somewhat together for Yosemite tomorrow...

For the Bella group we are reading the book crazy love, and just WOW! like it really makes you think about how BIG God really is...and just goes in depth to his character...and all you can really do or say after reading just the first chapter is well...your just sort of speechless... you just sort of stand there in awe of him...and you think of how beautiful, creative, and powerful , can compassionate, and just amazing He is!...i highly suggest reading it...totally amazing!

anyways...today was a good day, and I already know tomorrow will be too :) :) :)

so lucky to be here again!

Hey Everyone :)

Copper is amazing! Just like I remember...

Today we went and prayer walked and then had a staff devotional, and then afterwards we've been preparing for VBS at the end of the month...

Right now I am eating dinner (a goodness bowl) consisting of chicken, mashed potatos, corn, cheese, and a biscut...YUMMM!
Then afterwards we will be going to our young adult bible study called Upper Room...then I think we may watch Forest Gump afterwards WOOT WOOT! :) ha

It is so good to see everyone again, and after looking at the schedule I am so excited for this summer to just kick off. I believe God will do amazing things this summer, and I am so excited to be apart of it!
